LYRIC TENOR

Review of a production by Scottish Opera in the Independent 1998:
"Susan Gorton's redhead elephant was both touching and comic... She was evenly matched by Ann Archibald as the expert coloratura soprano fish... and by Alexander Anderson-Hall as the tenor Peacock, dazzling in jewel-blue silk suit. All wore astonishing (uncredited) wigs".

"Alexander Anderson-Hall's delightfully musical tenor and acting ability made Nadir a most believable and dramatic young lover..."
Caroline Franklin (Newbury News) The Pearl Fishers - Kennet Opera (18.11.04)

"...Alexander Anderson-Hall, a fluent-voiced seducer, his singing acquiring greater emotional depth in the third act scenes with both Mimi and Marcello" (Rodolfo - La Boheme, Garden Opera. Opera Magazine Sept 2007)

Highlights 2008

2008:

The year began with an exotic flavour involving an Opera Gala Concert Tour of the Far East, Australia, Thailand, India, China and Egypt.

In the summer months I performed the role of Ernesto in Don Pasquale on tour with Garden Opera for a sixth consecutive season. The tour continues in February 2009.

I also participated in an Opera Gala for the Little Venice Festival, London, singing extracts from The Merry Wives of Windsor, Die Fledermaus and a performance of the Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini. My chief highlight for the year, however, took the form of my debut in the role of Nemorino for Suffolk Opera. Performances continue in February and March 2009.

Please see the Diary page for details of performances in 2009.

Opera Galleria

An additional activity to my main operatic career is in the form of Opera Galleria, a recently formed partnership with baritone and colleague James Mcoran-Campbell, providing Opera and Song themed gala concerts for individual clients. Over the last 18 months we have given performances of Tales from Vienna and A Christmas Celebration in Lincolnshire, Berkshire and North Wales, together with our trademark show; The Legend of Tantuna.

For full details and dates please visit the Diary Page or click on to the respective websites.

The Soundbytes page is currently under construction and awaiting new recordings.

Sign the Guest Book before you leave, your comments and suggestions are always welcome and really appreciated.

With best wishes, Alexander
